Question: How can I make payment to eCabs?
Answer eCab offer following payment modes:
  • EBS Payment Gateway: Indian Credit & Debit Cards, Netbanking
  • Paypal : International Credit Cards (without becoming member of Paypal)
  • Paypal : with your Paypal account balance
  • ICICI Bank: Bank Transfer, RTGS/NEFT
  • ICICI Bank: Cash/Check Deposit
  • Cash Pickup in Cities like Mumbai/Pune
  • In certain cases we accept Cash on Pickup

Question: Are Pickups & Drops outside City Limits charged extra ?
Answer Yes, in case your pickup and drop addresses are outside the city limits, we will inform you within 48hrs of the booking and let you know the extra charges if any. Where possible we have created packages for pickup/drop from outside city limits. Please see our City Limits table for more details.


Question: Can I cancel/postpone my online booking?
Answer Yes you can cancel or postpone the booking by calling our call center. In case the payment is not made using Credit Card/Paypal instead of refund credit note/coupon will be issued for future booking. For Cancellations 24hrs or before the Pickup time, no deductions will be done except transaction charges if any. For cancellation within 24 hours but before 3 hours of booking, 25% cancellation charge is applicable. For cancellation within 3 hrs of pickup time 60% cancellation charge is applicable.


Question: How to select a suitable Car model?
Answer Please refer to our page "Selecting a Car" for details of how to select a right car model for yourself. Please note that packages with better car models also include better drivers and better service.


Question: Do I need to register to use eCabs ?
Answer No, Registration is not required. you can directly make a booking using our online booking system.


Question: What will happen after online booking?
Answer Once you have made the booking
  • You will receive email notifying that we have received your booking information.
  • You will get a confirmation email after our team manually verify and confirm your booking. We will check pickup/drop address or and your notes and contact you if we need more details.
  • On the day of Pickup you will receive SMS with Name & Mobile number of the Driver at least 3 hrs before the pickup time. Driver shall reach you in time or will call you for directions if required.
  • In any case you can always contact our Call Center who will help you with any information or provisioning the service. In most cases our team will also make a phone call after booking and check if you have received required information and if have any questions.


Question: Does eCabs provide Car hire with Self Drive option ?
Answer No, eCabs only provide chauffeur driven (Car + Driver) Cabs. Cabs are available for all types of requirements like local city travel, oneway/return inter city travel or for long term rentals.


Question: Is it mandatory to take a printout of the Booking Confirmation ?
Answer It is always good to keep a copy of your booking confirmation either in printed or electronic format in your mobile. In the event you do not have such confirmation there may be delays due to confusion if any and may require you to call eCabs Call Center and provide more details about yourself to verify your identify.


Question: I cannot find packages of my interest, what can I do ?
Answer Call us or Send us an inquiry using our inquiry form at the bottom of all pages. We offer customized packages to meet your requirements.


Question: Is it safe to use my credit card on this site?
Answer All credit card transactions are processed directly by PAYPAL (worlds largest online payment transactions company), and we never get access to your credit card information. You can either use a "continue without registration" option on Paypal page or create a Paypal account. 


Question: Can I take a break while travelling ?
Answer
For most of the routes there is a scheduled break, mostly at a place popular with travelers and with all facilities like food, toilets, fuel, shopping. Mostly such a break fall approx. midway the journey. But as you have rented a private cab you can request driver for 1-2 short breaks (5-15mins) any time. It is best if you talk directly to our call center instead of speaking to driver. 
Sometimes customers are in hurry specially at night and do not want to stop anywhere. But for your safety its necessary for the driver to take a break and refresh in 10-15mins as they may be tired. 


Question: When will i get booking confirmation and invoice ?
Answer You will first get booking notification, followed by booking confirmation normally within few hrs to 24hrs (or a phone call for confirmation). You may also receive SMS. Electronic Invoice/Bill is generated after you have completed your journey and emailed to you. Printed copy of the Invoice is normally not available with driver and shall be sent to you only on request by courier.



Question: In case of Cash on Pickup option whom should I hand over Cash ?
Answer In case you choose Cash on Pickup Option, The cash is collected by the Driver before the start of the Journey. Its good practice to call eCabs office and inform that you have made the cash payment. You may also request them to confirm by SMS of the receipt. 



Question: What to do in case of confusion ?
Answer - Please carry a active cellphone with you and instead of discussing any issue with driver discus it with eCabs call center only. Driver is not trained to answer such questions.
